So, the girls have officially started counting down the days until Daddy comes home from his deployment! (Mommy has no interest in that subject at all...hehe) :) Out of this lovely jar each day both girls take one piece of candy to celebrate being one day closer to our reunion! We only start this when we are approximately 30 days out, otherwise my poor children's teeth would rot out! :)
I have to brag on my wonderful 7 year old for a bit! She has been working hard to improve her reading skills over this school year and the testing has been completed, the scores are in, and she is officially on the 3rd grade level! We are just at the end (almost) of the 2nd grade, so serious kudos to my sweet baby girl! We are soooo proud!
Speaking of teeth rotting out..... Well....not exactly! This is Maci after her visit from the tooth fairy back in January. She lost her first tooth on January 27th and this is the day after with the goods....talk about excited! Maci is not normally a morning girl, in fact she usually pulls the covers back over her head and grunts at me, but on this monumentous day, she jumped out of bed to see if the tooth fairy did indeed visit....Thank goodness she didn't forget! That silly fairy sometimes tries to hide it from them and they don't find in the exact spot where they expect it :)...hehe
Well, she now has another tooth loose right beside that one, and Logan also has a loose one, so we'll see who wins..:) The one of Maci's that is loose has her adult tooth coming in right behind the baby tooth! This has me just a little bit worried that her teeth might be jacked up....let's hope not! Yikes!
