Adventures in Kings Lynn..........

Hello everyone! I hope you've had/are having (for my stateside friends) a wonderful Saturday!  We headed out the door at 8:30 this morning to meet the bus to start our adventure.
The Motley Crew ready to head out the door.
The river behind us runs all the way up to Cambridge.  It was really cold! Brrrr!!!!
This is where they gather the glass to start forming it.
Forming the glass.  Way cool to watch!
This is a Friendship ball. We decided we would make one.  We all 3 blew in the tube and helped create the ball.  Of course we made a red, white, and blue one.  This one is my friend's that they made.
This is a tide dial.  With the town being right on the water they needed to keep track of when the tide was going to come in, so they could keep the areas clear that might be affected.  I had never heard of one of these before.
It was time for some fuel!  Burgers, panini's and milk shakes!

If only the story ended here...  When we departed from the bus, we took a walking tour to learn some of the history about the town, (which is how I knew all about the tide dial).  By the time this tour was over, we were turned lose to shop and we were totally turned around.  Not to worry, here's a map with our car park (parking lot for you statesiders) circled.  Well.......we went to the location that was circled..... 3 times....to no avail, it was full of caravans.  Keep in mind that we're dragging 4 tired and grumpy kiddos around with us.  Finally, my brilliant friend calls the base and has them contact the people driving the bus to help us find them.  We were resigned to pay for a taxi for the hour ride back to the base.  They gave us a call back and met us so that we could ride back with them.  We were 30-40 minutes past when we were supposed to meet back at the bus.  When we met the driver, he told us that we had the wrong car park circled...UGGHHH!!!!  The circle was already drawn on the paper when it was handed to us....Oops!  It was definitely an adventure!  On the up side, I did find some really cute wellies!

And to top it all off, my wonderful husband gave us a ring again this evening!  It is so nice to talk to him!  I am truly blessed!  I am looking forward to a day of singing praises to Jesus and worshiping Him!
