The elusive Golden Rocky

When I went to pick Maci up from school today her teacher told me she had a funny story to tell me. You see, they give out "Golden Rockies" when a student is caught being good....this is a small slip of paper that is yellow with the teachers signature on it. When they receive 10 of these, they go to a ceremony and are presented a medal. Well, Maci had 8 Golden Rockies as of yesterday afternoon. Her teacher said that she brought her a yellow sheet of construction paper and asked her to write "participation" on it. The teacher asked her why she needed such a big word on her paper and she told her she was making her own Golden Rocky. :) Well, later that afternoon, Maci earned a real Golden Rocky and then she ran to her cubbie and pulled out the Golden Rocky she made and declared that she now had 10 Golden Rockies! She's a sneaky little thing! I guess you can't blame a girl for a little creative thinking.
