So today our base hosted an event to help the kids see what their parents go through to deploy. They received "orders" at school to deploy at 0945 this morning. There was mock processing line, a briefing, tours of the planes, and a military working dog demonstration.......And of course souvenier bags with lots of goodies.
And finally.....the Welcome Home BBQ! Fun stuff! When they got off the bus and walked toward the BBQ fun, there was a "Welcome Home" committee and they were all clapping and cheering for them. It was really cool! Then we came home and this mama took a nap....Now that's what I call a good day! :-)
